NOIPolls, the national partner for Afrobarometer in Nigeria, has completed an intensive five-day capacity-building training program for field teams ahead of the upcoming Afrobarometer Round 11 (R11) survey.
The comprehensive training session brought together Enumerators, Field Supervisors, and Team Leads to align field operations with international research standards and rigorous data quality protocols.
The five-day engagement focused on bolstering operational readiness across several critical areas:
Research Ethics & Protocol Compliance: Training on respondent rights, informed consent, data privacy, and ethical best practices during field interactions.
Questionnaire Familiarisation: In-depth review of R11 survey modules, ensuring interviewers master question logic, digital tool navigation, and local language nuance to reduce respondent fatigue and error.
Data Quality Management: Rigorous quality control procedures, real-time data auditing, and digital verification mechanisms to maintain high statistical standards.
Pilot Testing & Simulation: Practical field simulations and pre-tests conducted in select locations to refine field techniques under real-world conditions.
Field Debriefs & Lessons Learned: Reviewing operational insights and practical takeaways from previous Afrobarometer survey rounds to address potential logistical challenges.
As the primary research organisation implementing Afrobarometer surveys in Nigeria, NOIPolls conducts face-to-face, nationally representative interviews across all geopolitical zones to capture ordinary citizens' attitudes on democratic governance, economic conditions, public security, and emerging social issues.
With field personnel fully equipped and certified, NOIPolls is prepared to deploy teams across the country to gather timely, objective, and statistically sound public opinion data.
Updates, field highlights, and survey findings will be shared throughout the data collection phase across official NOIPolls digital channels.
