Maryam Abdulsalam-Anibilowo

Maryam Abdulsalam-Anibilowo is a seasoned Program Manager at NOIPolls, possessing over nine years of dedicated experience in the implementation and management of public health programs.

​

At NOIPolls, Maryam currently leads the Gates Foundation grant on Maternal and Newborn Health, demonstrating her ability to manage complex, high-impact projects. She also oversees the Foundation’s Skill Retention project, which examines the retention of skills among health workers trained in the use of the postpartum haemorrhage bundle in Nigeria.

Before joining NOIPolls, Maryam served as a Consultant for Initiatives Conseil International-Santé (ICI SANTE), contributing to a Global Fund Program aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations in Lagos State. Her experience also includes a role as a Research Officer at the Institute of Human Virology of Nigeria, where she contributed to the African Collaborative Centre for Microbiome and Genomics Research’s (ACCME's) Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer study. Furthermore, she has served as a Training Consultant for the Clinton Health Access Initiative on their Expanded Programme on Immunisation project.

Maryam possesses strong analytical skills, evidenced by her proficiency in data analysis using SPSS, and is adept at producing comprehensive reports for diverse health programs. She demonstrates a robust skill set encompassing key competencies in program management, public health program implementation, maternal and newborn health, capacity building and training, data analysis utilising SPSS, report writing, research and evaluation. 

 

Her professional contributions are further underscored by her publication in BMC Public Health, specifically focusing on health facility delivery in sub-Saharan Africa. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
