Nigeria at 61 - Proud to be Nigerian
Another Independence anniversary should be joyful but only 77 in 100 Nigerians say they are proud to be Nigerian, according to a survey by NOIPOlls. That is the lowest percentage of Nigerians to say they are proud to be Nigerians, down from ninety-three percent since 2012 when NOIPolls began asking the question “are you proud to be a Nigerian?” We have been on the streets to put the question to Nigerians and find out why.

Only 18 in 100 Nigerians have health cover, NOIPolls survey finds
More than 10 years since the scheme started, only 18 percent of Nigerians have any form of health insurance cover, an increase of 3 percent since 2019. Five percent of Nigerians have relatives and friends pay for them, but the remaining 77% pay out of pockets—a proportion that includes everyone from civil servants and professionals to self employed and the unemployed.
